In October, we were informed that the school has been successful in obtaining the Primary Science Quality Mark - gilt award. The PSQM is a progressive, evidence-informed professional learning programme which provides ongoing subject leadership development through structured learning, promoting a whole school culture of continuous improvement in science curriculum design, teaching and learning. It is a year long professional learning programme and the award lasts for three years. This is the fourth successive time that Russell has achieved this award.

There is much to celebrate and enjoy. The school has great foundations to build on, and it is evident that there is a great passion for science in the school. Children are being encouraged to be curious and ask questions.
